Osage Beach, MO Housing Market Trends

With a population of 5,123, 2,267 total housing units (homes and apartments), and a median house value of $456,823, Osage Beach real estate is some of the most expensive in Missouri, although Osage Beach home values aren't among America's most expensive.

Large apartment complexes or high rise apartments are the single most common housing type in Osage Beach, accounting for 53.85% of the city's housing units. Other types of housing that are prevalent in Osage Beach include single-family detached homes ( 34.67%), duplexes, homes converted to apartments or other small apartment buildings ( 5.29%), and a few row houses and other attached homes ( 4.32%). Cities that are predominantly high-density buildings are relatively uncommon in the US. Because of the density, these types of cities are often walkable and compact, and often have a lively downtown.

The most prevalent building size and type in Osage Beach are three and four bedroom dwellings. The city has a mixture of owners and renters, with 60.90% owning and 39.10% renting.

There is a lot of housing in Osage Beach built from 1970 to 1999 so parts of town may have that "Brady Bunch" look of homes popular in the '70s and early '80s, although some of these houses were built up through the early '90s as well.
