Crete is a somewhat small village located in the state of Illinois. With a population of 8,340 people and six associated neighborhoods, Crete is the 251st largest community in Illinois.Unlike some villages, Crete isn’t mainly white- or blue-collar. Instead, the most prevalent occupations for people in Crete are a mix of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Crete is a village of professionals, service providers, and sales and office workers.
