Attica is a tiny town located in the state of Michigan. With a population of 962 people and two associated neighborhoods, Attica is the 481st largest community in Michigan. Much of the housing stock in Attica was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic towns in the country.Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Attica is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Attica is a town of sales and office workers, professionals, and transportation and shipping workers. There are especially a lot of people living in Attica who work in office and administrative support (15.15%), architecture and engineering (14.65%), and management occupations (11.11%). Attica has few renters and college students. But the biggest reason it is quieter in Attica than in most places in America, is that there are just simply fewer people living here. As is often the case in a small town, Attica doesn't have a public transportation system that people use for their commute.The population of Attica has a very low overall level of education: only 9.63% of people over 25 hold a 4-year college degree or higher. However, Attica contains both very wealthy and poor people as well. Attica is a somewhat ethnically-diverse town.
