Monroe is a medium-sized city located in the state of North Carolina. With a population of 40,054 people and 14 associated neighborhoods, Monroe is the 28th largest community in North Carolina.Monroe is neither predominantly blue-collar nor white-collar, instead having a mixed workforce of both blue-collar and white-collar jobs.
