North Providence is a medium-sized town located in the state of Rhode Island. With a population of 34,791 people and seven associated neighborhoods, North Providence is the ninth largest community in Rhode Island.Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, North Providence is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, North Providence is a town of professionals, sales and office workers, and managers.
