Cibolo profile

Living in Cibolo

Cibolo is a medium-sized city located in the state of Texas. With a population of 37,816 people and seven associated neighborhoods, Cibolo is the 104th largest community in Texas. Much of the housing stock in Cibolo was built relatively recently. The construction of new real estate can often be taken as an indication that the local Cibolo economy is robust, and that jobs or other amenities are attracting an influx of new residents. This seems to be the case in Cibolo, where the median household income is $122,365.00.

Cibolo real estate is some of the most expensive in Texas, although Cibolo house values don't compare to the most expensive real estate in the U.S.

Also of interest is that Cibolo has more people living here who work in computers and math than 95% of the places in the US.

One interesting thing about the economy is that relatively large numbers of people worked from their home: 16.04% of the workforce. While this number may seem small overall, as a fraction of the total workforce this is high compared to the rest of the county. These workers are often telecommuters who work in knowledge-based, white-collar professions. For example, Silicon Valley has large numbers of people who telecommute. Other at-home workers may be self-employed people who operate small businesses out of their homes.

Because of many things, Cibolo is a very good place for families to consider. With an enviable combination of good schools, low crime, college-educated neighbors who tend to support education because of their own experiences, and a high rate of home ownership in predominantly single-family properties, Cibolo really has some of the features that families look for when choosing a good community to raise children. Is Cibolo perfect? Of course not, and if you like frenetic nightlife, it will be far from your cup of tea. But overall this is a solid community, with many things to recommend it as a family-friendly place to live.

The city of Cibolo is a decent size, but despite this, it doesn't have a viable public transit system that people can use to get to work.

The education level of Cibolo ranks among the highest in the nation. Of the 25-and-older adult population in Cibolo, 44.39% have at least a bachelor's degree. The typical US community has just 21.84% of its adults holding a bachelor's degree or graduate degree.

The per capita income in Cibolo in 2022 was $42,185, which is wealthy relative to Texas, and upper middle income relative to the rest of the US. This equates to an annual income of $168,740 for a family of four.

Cibolo is an extremely ethnically-diverse city. The people who call Cibolo home describe themselves as belonging to a variety of racial and ethnic groups. The greatest number of Cibolo residents report their race to be White, followed by Black or African-American.
